You’ve leaned on your BFFs, asked Chat GPT how to solve it, maybe even had therapy before, and you still feel stuck, repeating the same decisions, the same relationship dynamics, with partners, friends, family, even co-workers/bosses. If you’re the parent of a teenager who is struggling, maybe you’ve also listened to all the podcasts, read all the parenting books, and compared notes with other parents, all to end up in the same triggering dynamic: your teen shuts down, withdraws, or lashes out.
I will work with you to help you figure out why you’re stuck, and how to shift the patterns of thinking and reacting that don’t serve you or the life you want.
Maybe you’ve been white-knuckling it through low moods, trying to outthink your anxiety, or avoiding others altogether. Now it’s time to slow down, tune in, and actually work with what’s happening inside your body, your thoughts, and your relational patterns. Together, we’ll build awareness, emotional regulation, and the skills and insight you need to stop bracing and start connecting with yourself and with others.
Maybe you’ve been tiptoeing around your teen, afraid of setting them off. Or maybe you’ve been on a daily collision course, frustrated that your redirection never actually redirects.
They might be stuck on the greatest hits: “You just don’t get it,” “Nothing’s wrong, OMG,” or “I don’t know.” And you’re out of ideas for how to actually reach them. Through individual and family sessions, we’ll start connecting the dots to make sense of what’s behind the disconnection, and begin to practice secure relating and attuned, effective communication.
For adults experiencing anxiety, low mood, life transitions, complex or relational trauma, burnout, or stuck dynamics they’re ready to change. A collaborative, insight-driven process that helps you identify and shift patterns keeping you emotionally, mentally, and/or relationally stuck.
For teens who are shutting down, lashing out, withdrawing from relationships, struggling in school, or carrying the impacts of trauma. Individual therapy for teens, with regular caregiver sessions, focuses on reducing anxiety, improving mood, and building communication and emotional regulation skills.
EMDR is a trauma treatment that helps your brain reprocess distressing experiences and let go of what’s keeping you stuck. It’s always paced with care, and only used when you’re ready. (Please note that EMDR protocol recommends 90 minute sessions for treatment.)
