Inquire About Therapy

Am I the right therapist for you?

Plenty of studies have shown us that the therapist/client relationship is the most important factor to success in therapy, above modality, approach, length of service, or location. Let’s make sure you’re set up for success in discerning if working together will be a good match.

Likely, if you:

Want a warm, direct therapist who balances skills with depth

Are open to telehealth sessions

Are open to between-session self-guided work

Can commit to consistent weekly sessions for a period of time

Are comfortable with out-of-pocket or out-of-network payments

Unlikely, if you’re seeking:

Highly manualized, homework-heavy treatment every week

In-person services only

In-network insurance only

A therapist to “fix it” for you

Drop-in sessions here and there (are too busy for therapy at the moment)

Quick fixes without looking at patterns that keep looping

The Process:

01

Free 15-minute consult

Make sure we’re a fit for each other and clarify goals.

02

Intake/First 1–2 sessions

Map patterns, build early coping tools, set a plan.

03

Ongoing work

Practice skills, deepen insight, track what’s changing.

04

Adjust & refine

We update goals as your life shifts; add EMDR if useful.

Will I get “homework”?

Only if it serves your goals—short practices we choose together.

How long does therapy take?

It depends on your goals and history; we’ll review progress regularly.

Do I have to talk about everything?

No. We work inside your window of tolerance, at your pace.
